Off-Chain Personal Identifiable Information (PII): To fulfill real-world travel requirements, we collect your legal name, date of birth, passport details, and email address when booking flights or accommodations.
On-Chain Public Data: We log your public wallet address, transaction hashes, and token balances used to interact with our platform.
Interaction Data: IP addresses, browser types, and device information to prevent fraud and bot activity.
2How We Use Your Information
We process your data based on standard legal grounds (consent and contractual necessity) to:
- Issue legal travel tickets and secure hotel reservations with our booking partners.
- Verify eligibility for community-specific travel pools or token-gated discounts.
- Detect and prevent sybil attacks (where one person creates many fake identities) and financial fraud.
3Sharing Your Data with Third Parties
Travel Providers: Your legal name and passport data will be shared with the relevant airlines or hotels to secure your booking. These partners handle data under their own respective privacy policies.
No On-Chain PII Exposure: Roamr will never write your legal name, email, or passport numbers directly to a public blockchain ledger.
4Data Retention & The Blockchain Paradox
Off-Chain Data: We retain your passport details and contact information only as long as necessary to fulfill the travel booking and comply with global travel regulations, after which it is purged.
On-Chain Data: Because public blockchains (like Solana) are immutable (unchangeable and permanent), Roamr cannot delete transaction histories or wallet interactions that occur on-chain. By using Roamr, you acknowledge that your public wallet activity is a permanent matter of public record.
5Your Rights (GDPR & Global Privacy Compliance)
Where applicable under local privacy laws, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request the correction of inaccurate data, or demand the deletion of your off-chain profile. To exercise these rights, you can contact our privacy officer at info@roamr.fun.
